An Ode
An ode to those who are suffering an existential crisis and have no idea how to see it through. They know it’s fruitless to worry.
An ode to those who asked that one question that changed everything.
An ode to those who know their world can never go back to the way it was.
An ode to those who live in fear of stagnation and movement, yet remaining stationary fills them with fear.
An ode to those searching for an answer we know we’ll find at the most unsuspecting time – if we ever find it at all.
An ode to those frustrated by the mundanity of life, but scared by the prospect of the adventure they so badly crave.
An ode to those just like me who can’t find the words to express how they feel and who so strongly feel the need to do something great to make the world a better place, but they end up doing nothing about it because they don’t know what to do and if they know what to do they don’t know what action to take.
An ode to those trying to find their way in a world that’s dictating their path by expectation and tradition.
An ode to those desperately wanting to be themselves but don’t know how or are scared of the retribution they may face.
An ode to those who smile at strangers, accept all people as they are, admire the breeze on their skin, smell the roses, line their days with gratitude and kind words.
An ode to those struggling and to those who have found their way, for we all end up in the same place.
An ode to the world lost in its own journey to find itself.
Be happy. Be you.
